Meet Our Teachers
Ms. Malak
West Roxbury Teacher
My name is Malak and I work as a teacher with the Toddler 1 age group. I studied at a Commercial Institute and I also completed studies in Human Resources. In addition, I have taken several trainings and earned certificates related to childcare and working with children in different situations.
I always try to support children’s emotional, social, and cognitive development by creating a safe, warm, and caring environment where they feel comfortable and respected. I encourage them to build positive relationships, share, express their feelings in healthy ways, and discover new things through daily activities and play.
I enjoy doing a variety of activities with the kids, whether it’s art, sensory play, or outdoor games. I like to choose activities that match the children’s interests and help them learn and have fun at the same time.
My name is Elizabeth Gilbert I am 23 years old and I grew up in Rhode Island. I'm a 2024 graduate of Emmanuel College, where I earned my B.A. in Sociology with a minor in Criminology and Criminal Justice. My personal experience with bilateral hearing loss has fueled my passion for helping others and deepening my understanding of the challenges faced by diverse communities. This drive led me to a career in early childhood education, where I currently serve as a Lead Teacher.
In my role, I develop and implement monthly curricula tailored to support gross motor development, sensory exploration, early language skills, and social-emotional growth. I have experience leading both toddler and preschool classrooms, and I take pride in creating nurturing, inclusive environments where children feel safe, supported, and encouraged to thrive. I especially love doing crafts with the kids—it’s a fun and creative way to help them express themselves and build fine motor skills.
I'm CPR and First Aid certified, and I’m committed to ensuring the safety and well-being of every child in my care. I value strong, collaborative relationships with families and colleagues, believing that teamwork is essential to a child’s success.
In September 2025, I’ll be continuing my journey in education by pursuing a Master’s degree in Education with a concentration in Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion. I'm excited to grow as an educator and further my impact in the community by advocating for equitable and inclusive learning environments.

Throughout my career, I've worked in various early childhood settings, including 15 years at a preschool in North Attleboro. This experience has given me a deep understanding of the unique needs and challenges of young children and their families.
