The Learning Tree is a fully licensed preschool and group daycare center established since 1997. It is our mission to create a learning environment where each student feels safe, loved and valued. The family-like atmosphere promotes creative expression, hands on learning and respect for the similarities and differences of others. Working together with children and their families to build a healthy loving community and their communication skills is very important to us. Education is a life long journey that starts with the very earliest experience of being in preschool. These building blocks set a stable and grounded foundation for future learning. Our Philosophy
The Learning Tree’s goal is to provide the best quality care for children in a nurturing, caring and safe educational environment. The homelike quality of our school contributes to a relaxed, focused experience for each child. We believe our program has achieved the proper balance between academics and play. Playing for the simple fun of it, as part of the child’s overall learning experience is important to us. Our days consist of structured and developmentally appropriate activities, which will help your child to develop emotionally, socially and physically. As working parents there is a level of stress that you all endure, therefore, we ensure that your child is well cared for in a safe and happy environment making this one less thing for you to worry about during your busy day.
Our educators are trained professionals chosen for their dedication to young children. They respect and love working with children, helping them to grow and adjust to the various stages of their lives. Our main focus is on your child’s self-esteem, as a solid foundation for his/her development. Positive reinforcement, praise and recognition are encouraged. Developing a positive self-image that your child carries through life is an important goal for us in the Learning Tree. We believe that through caring, listening, sharing, understanding and loving, we can enhance your child’s self-esteem so that he/she may look at the world and see endless possibilities and face every new challenge with excitement and confidence.
Conscious Discipline
At The Learning Tree Preschool, we follow the principles of Conscious Discipline, developed by Dr. Becky Bailey. This research-based approach views discipline as a teaching opportunity, helping children build essential life skills while creating a safe, connected, and supportive learning environment.

We coach children to manage their emotions and calm their bodies using strategies such as S.T.A.R. breathing (Smile, Take a deep breath, And Relax).
Guiding Problem-Solving
We support children through conflict resolution by focusing on solutions and empowering them to make positive choices.
